The Energy Regulatory Commission (“CRE”) published in the Federal Official Gazette the Resolution that states the validity termination of the first paragraph of the second transitory article of the Official Mexican Standard NOM-016-CRE-2016, petroleum products quality specifications (“NOM”).

On April 9, 2018, the Energy Regulatory Commission (“CRE”) published in the Federal Official Gazette the Resolution that states the validity termination of the first paragraph of the second transitory article of the Official Mexican Standard NOM-016-CRE-2016, petroleum products quality specifications (“NOM”).

The CRE determines the conditions that gave background to the second transitory article of the NOM-016-CRE-2016 does not exists anymore. The admission of the Results Report issued by accredited laboratories on other Official Mexican Standards attending quality or by non-accredited laboratories. Starting on April 10, 2018, only the laboratories that are accredited and approved can perform the reports established on the NOM. Those reports for which no laboratories are approved, will be equally mandatories and can be performed by other laboratories, preferably accredited.
