We hereby inform you that today, the Energy Regulatory Commission ("CRE") published in the Federal Official Gazette ("DOF") the AGREEMENT to issue the Rules of Operation of the Advisory Council of the Energy Regulatory Commission.

This Agreement states that the CRE will have an Advisory Council (the "Council"), which will be a proposal and opinion-making body whose purpose is to contribute to the public consultation process in order to analyze the regulatory criteria contained in the general administrative provisions it issues, through proposals and opinions that privilege the general interest.

The purpose of the rules contained in this Agreement is to establish the organization and operation of the Council, as provided for in article 28 of the Law of the Coordinated Regulatory Bodies in Energy Matters.

The proposals and opinions of the Board will be heard and considered by the CRE, although they will not be binding on it. The non-permanent members of the Council shall be representatives of leading institutions in the energy and academic sectors, as well as of associations bringing together permit holders, users and other legal entities actively participating in that sector, including the social sector. These members shall be selected as referred in the basis of the Call for Integration issued by the Governing Body and shall serve for three years, renewable once for the same period. Their participation on the Board will be of an honorary nature and they will have voice and vote.
