Vivian Klapp is Senior Associate with Rodríguez Dávalos Abogados. She specializes in consulting in the area of energy law, and her areas of focus are the implementation of hydrocarbons (upstream, midstream and downstream) and electricity projects. She has a wide range of regulatory experience in the processing, obtaining and administration of permits from various government authorities in relation to the transmission, storage, distribution, sales and public retail of hydrocarbons, refined products and petrochemicals. She has participated in and advised different companies in bidding processes with the Federal Electric Commission, Pemex and Integral Port Administration System (API for its initials in Spanish), as well as in corporate and contractual matters. Among her relevant transactions, she contributed in the corporate and regulatory aspect in Los Ramones Phase II, North and South; she has as well worked in the obtaining and administration of permits for storage terminals and the petroleum and petrochemical pipelines of the largest company of hydrocarbons in Mexico. Vivian recently participated in the regulatory and legal strategy of the first private terminal of refined products in Mexico.

During her previous experience, she was an intern at Blue Marine Technology Group, where she acquired experience in maritime and port law.  

She earned her Law Degree at Universidad Anáhuac del Norte. She is also a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) as well as the Asociación Nacional de Abogados de Empresa del Colegio de Abogados (National Association of Corporate Attorneys of the Bar Association).
