The Energy Regulatory Commission (“CRE”) published in the Federal Official Gazette the Resolution through which the compliance reports of the Official Mexican Standard NOM-016-CRE-2016, petroleum products quality specifications (“NOM”) made by Verification Units approved to evaluate the conformity of other Official Mexican Standards, are temporarily approved.

We inform you that on April 9, 2018, the Energy Regulatory Commission (“CRE”) published in the Federal Official Gazette the Resolution through which the compliance reports of the Official Mexican Standard NOM-016-CRE-2016, petroleum products quality specifications (“NOM”) made by Verification Units approved to evaluate the conformity of other Official Mexican Standards, are temporarily approved.

The obligation of obtaining the report that certifies the compliance of the NOM regarding the 2017 period, can be fulfilled during the period from January 1st to June 30th as well as during the first three months following June 30th, 2018.

The CRE will accept as valid the compliance reports of the NOM issued by the Verification Units approved to evaluate according to the following Official Mexican Standards, from April 10th, 2018:

  • NOM-001-SESH-2014
  • NOM-003-SEDG-2004
  • NOM-003-ASEA-2016
  • NOM-005-ASEA-2016
  • NOM-007-SECRE-2010
  • NOM-013-SECRE-2012
  • NOM-015-SECRE-2013
  • NOM-027-SESH-2010
  • NOM-137-SEMARNAT-2013
