Xavier Amaya is a Consultant with Rodríguez Dávalos Abogados. He has more than 10 years of experience in private initiative handling various strategic sectors in commercial development, including energy, finance, telecommunications and construction. His area of specialization is focused on business development, project evaluation, prospects and financial models. Additionally, he has participated in various M&As and JVs. Within the energy sector, his collaboration has been in: (i) preparing and submitting the business plan to the Energy Regulatory Commission, as well as the Maximum Initial Tariffs for the “Agua Prieta” power generation park; (ii) developing the business plan and financial model for the first project in Mexico for the generation of Biomass and Biogas using nopal; (iii) developing and implementing innovative projects in the Latin American petrochemical sector; (iv) financial and commercial analysis and evaluation for the acquisition of private petrochemical companies located outside of Mexico.
He is an expert in financial appraisals using methodologies such as WACC and CAPM for determining financial indicators, profitability and viability of investment projects.
Previously, he worked at Grupo Empresarial KALUZ (GEK), Holding de Mexichem, Elementia and BANCO Ve Por Más. Prior to that he worked at Avantel.
He has a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Anáhuac. He has completed the Diploma in Finance from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
