Xavier Amaya is a Consultant (Principal) at Rodríguez Dávalos Abogados. He has 20 years of experience in the private sector in different sectors such as energy, construction, financial and telecommunications, specializing in business development, project evaluation, prospects and financial models, and has participated in several M&A and JV. In Mexico, he has participated in several projects in the energy sector, among which the following stand out: (i) preparation and presentation to the Energy Regulatory Commission of the business plan and Initial Maximum Rates for the Agua Prieta generation park; (ii) development of the business plan and financial model for the first Biomass and Biogas generation project in Mexico using cactus; (iii) development and implementation of innovation projects in the petrochemical sector; (iv) planning and management of permits necessary for the development of 3 Data Centers in the city of Queretaro, as well as commercial and regulatory advice in the electrical field of the project.
He is an expert in financial valuation using methodologies such as WACC and CAPM to determine the indicators, profitability and viability of the project, as well as in leading project development and team management.
Previously, he worked at Grupo Empresarial KALUZ (GEK), Holding de Mexichem, Elementia and BANCO Ve Por Más. Prior to that he worked at Avantel.
He has a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Anáhuac del Norte. He has completed the Diploma in Finance from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
