María Angélica Nieves Salas is an Associate at Rodríguez Dávalos Abogados. A consultant in legal matters regarding energy, her areas of focus include the implementation of hydrocarbons (upstream, midstream and downstream) and electricity projects.
She has advised several companies in public tenders issued by the Federal Electricity Commission for the provision of natural gas transmission. She was involved in the negotiation of contracts and transfer and modification of permits on the project known as the "Los Ramones Phase II North Natural Gas Transmission System" aimed at transmitting natural gas from the Los Ramones compressor station in Nuevo Leon to San Luis Potosi.
During her previous experience, she was an associate at the law firm of Barrera Siqueiros y Torres Landa, S.C. and previously worked at KPMG, Cardenas Dosal, S.C. in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, where her work focused on tax litigation.
She is a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) as well as the National Association of Corporate Attorneys of the Bar Association (Asociación Nacional de Abogados de Empresa del Colegio de Abogados).
She earned her Degree in Law from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, ITESM), Monterrey Campus, Nuevo Leon. She attended theNegotiation Skills Workshop, given by the AIPN and The Strategic Negotiation Program given by the Yale School of Management.
