Since 2015, Emilio Cano has been Of Counsel to Rodriguez Dávalos Abogados. President and founder of Ecobanca A.C. since 2000, Emilio has worked to establish strategic alliances of achievement and administration of funds and investment for national and international governmental, private and civil sectors such as the Cable Car for the Cabárceno National Park in Cantabria, Spain, the Conservation Trust of Barrancas, Green Funds (Fondos Verdes) in Mexico, the Mexican Stock Exchange Index, various environmental trusts derived from environmental regulatory resolutions for the energy sector, road and hydraulic infrastructure. He has also served as Director of the Environmental Chapter of the Nordic Chamber. Through Ecobanca, he has attracted and managed resources from the governments of the United Kingdom, Spain, United States of America and Norway for environmental conservation.
During his previous working experience, Emilio served as General Director of DOS, a company dedicated to the development and consultancy services of eco-efficiency and environmental improvement projects. He developed consulting projects financed by development multilateral organizations (i.e. the World Bank) and the National Institute of Ecology, the Environmental Ministry, the National Forestry Commission, among others. Today he serves as advisor to the Board of Shareholders.
Emilio holds a degree in Public Accounting from Universidad Iberoamericana. He completed his Master's Degree in Environmental and Urban Planning Policy at Tufts University, in Boston, Massachusetts. He was a professor at the Sustainable Development Workshop of the School of Business Administration at the above-referred University (2001-2003).
