Alejandro Amaro Gámez is an Associate at Rodríguez Dávalos Abogados. His experience focuses on legal consulting and practical development of the energy sector, aimed at developing infrastructure and regulation of the activities involved in their operation. His multidisciplinary focus on Administrative Law, Regulatory Law, Agricultural Law, Corporate Law, Immigration Law, Civil, Commercial and Protection Law and Litigation has allowed him to work on the development of projects related to the transmission, storage, distribution and sale of various types of hydrocarbons as well as generation projects of both conventional power sources and renewables, and their transmission.
He has extensive experience in the acquisition of Rights of Way, where he has handled the acquisition planning, the implementation of the designed strategy, as well as defending and preserving the same. He has also given advice in bidding processes for the Federal Electricity Commission, Petróleos Mexicanos and the Federal District Government. He has participated in the procurement of various permits and/or authorizations for the development and operation of energy infrastructure, established relationships with government agencies at various levels in order to ensure the success of infrastructure projects, and judicial litigation practice and administrative procedures. Recently, he participated in the consulting, supervision and defense of the rights of way of the "Ethane transmission system" (a pipeline that will supply ethane gas to the "Etileno XXI" petrochemical complex) and of the "Los Ramones natural gas transmission system" in phases I and II.
He is a member of the International Right of Way Association (IRWA), the Mexican Association of Rights of Way (Asociación Mexicana de Derechos de Vía) and the National Association of Corporate Lawyers (Asociación Nacional de Abogados de Empresa).
He has a Law Degree from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and graduated with honors. He also participated in various panels and seminars concerning rights of way and the hydrocarbons market. He has been invited to the broadcast television program on legal culture called "Háblame Derecho", by the Mexican Bar Association through the Legal Channel.
