Mr Pizarro-Suárez is of-counsel to Rodríguez Dávalos. He has advised the firm as expert in mining matters and has supervised special projects. His practice is mainly focused in corporate law, mining law, international agreements and international commercial arbitration and foreign investments.
He has advised clients in the mining sector from the United States of America, Latin America, Europe and Asia doing mining business in Mexico. He has advised numerous world-class mining companies, many of which are listed in the London Stock Exchange, New York Stock Exchange, Toronto, among others.
Mr. Pizarro-Suárez actively participated with the working party that prepared the amendments to the Mexican Mining Law (April, 2005) and in the special committee that reviewed the new Regulations to said Mining Law, (October 2012). He is the author of a book of Mining Law, published in 2012, by “Escuela Libre de Derecho” with a well-known editorial house.
Mr Pizarro-Suárez earned his law degree in Universidad La Salle, México City. He pursued his post-graduate studies on International Commercial Arbitration. Mr Pizarro-Suárez is member of many professional mining bodies such as the Legislative Committee of the Mexican Mining Chamber (CAMIMEX); he is member since 1994 of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, based in Denver, CO. He is member of the Latin-American Mining Lawyers (AMLA or Abogados Mineros Latinoamericanos,) based in Santiago, Chile; International Mining Professionals Society (IMPS) and member of the Arbitration Commission of the Mexican Chapter of the ICC.
